A pleasant surprise from BT / BT Digital Monitor & Pacifier

Published by admin on November 28th, 2011 - in BT Baby Monitor Reviews

Having previously used a sturdy & reliable Philips AVENT SCD535 DECT Baby Monitor and having been given the BT version, I wasn’t expecting much as I wouldn’t associate BT with Baby Monitors’ and expected the functions and features to be a bit gimmicky.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

The BT version did everything the Philips did, and more and all while looking more child’s room friendly, and not as much like a piece of medical equipment.

I haven’t been able to fault it and it has been given a thorough testing, as my partner loves all things tech and wanted to see exactly what it could do.

In short, it monitors audio & temperature, providing information back to an excellent parent unit that has all the buttons in sensible positions, a wipeable keypad surface, built in torch, the ability to let your child hear your voice via the handset, a timer for things like feeding times, a mute button, audible or visual alerts, lullaby feature that includes the ability to play music from an MP3 player (3.5mm jack lead included, a nice touch) and the piece de resistance is a light show for your little one, again controllable from the parent handset. The light show can be suitably angled to shine on a nearby wall, or a ceiling.

Included is a travel bag, well written instructions, an 0800 helpline if you get stuck with any of the features & rechargeable batteries for the parent unit .. you really can’t go wrong.

If you want a fully featured baby monitor, I would say buy this one. I can’t recommend it highly enough
