We have been using BT baby monitors since our first child was born back in 2004 and have come to rely upon the piece of mind they provide. When this new BT monitor became available we wanted to find out how the technology has progressed since that time.
Beautiful bright colours make this BT monitor really stand out. Sound over this BT monitor is clear and both sides keeps contacted with each other at all times. There is of course a button which allows parents to speak to their child, which both reassures a child and sometimes helps them to go back to sleep.
Sound is a little lower than the older one, but not really enough to worry about. The parent unit has a torch which means you can have localised light without the need to put larger lights on – very important when trying to find something at night and not wanting to wake your child up too much.
The light show is great and displays planets and stars on the ceiling which keeps the kids entertained for ages – lots of oooohs and wooows. Music can be played on this BT monitor and isn’t restricted to a few tunes like the one from 2004. Along with the included tunes this BT monitor will also accept MP3 music input and music is much better quality these days.
Rechargeable batteries last well and are easily recharged during the day time in the parental docking station. We have been replacing our rechargeable batteries about 12-18 months due to a decrease in the time they last when fully charged.
All in all a very good baby/child monitor in so many ways.
